This is the engine description, according to the seller's engine builder and mechanic who has taken care of it for the past 3 years and the past 2 owners:
"The engine is a "555" big block Chevy that has less than 20 hours since a complete rebuild at the beginning of this year. It is a factory Gen 6 block with a forged 4340 aftermarket steel crankshaft, Molnar billet h beam rods, Racetec pistons, Calico coated main , rod, and cam bearings, and total seal rings. It has a custom ground hydraulic roller camshaft, PAC valve springs, crane lifters, afr custom ported aluminum cylinder heads with stainless intake and inconel exhaust valves,Titan oil pump, Dooley 14 qt oil pan, and a blower shop billet case 250 blower.
The blower was rebuilt by the blower shop 2 years ago and has approx 60 hours of use since gone through.
The carb is a 1280 cfm Dominator. The boat has an aeromotive fuel system supplying the engine. The drive is a factory XR upper with an Imco lower case and the whole drive was rebuilt less than 10 hours ago. This boat also has a full hydraulic dual ram Imco steering system.
The trailer is a competitive trailer that I believe is a year older than the boat.
As of right now, the only known issues with the boat are a trim sender that is starting to fail, an inoperative trailer jack, a worn full cover, and possibly 2 bad speakers.
The trailer has new tires on it and the bearings were repacked recently. The engine was dyno'd here in Las Vegas and made 896hp at 5600 rpms, and 963 ft lbs of torque at 3600 rpms, on what most would call a stingy dyno. The engine runs best on 91 octane pump fuel available at any gas station. I personally had the boat out in Havasu a month ago, and it runs flawlessly.
The water pump failed on this boat 2 years ago and the paint on the headers got a tad scorched. They have since been pressure tested and do not leak or have any issues other then the cosmetic blemish of the scorched paint. These are a standard lightning header with mild coated outer tubes rather than stainless outer tubes, so I do not recommend this boat be run in saltwater with them."
